Is there anything back to the future related in Universal Studios theme park in california?

Posted by admin on February 7th, 2010 and filed under studios theme park | 2 Comments »

Are there any back to the future rides or props like the dolorean sitting around inside the theme park?

if you go on the universal studios studio tour you get to see the set of the clock tower building…there was a bad fire a while ago, so there is some damage in that area of the tour. and i cant remember for sure, but there was another part of the tour where they had a line-up of famous movie cars and i am pretty sure the dolorean was one of them.
the studio tour was my favorite part of universal studios i definitely recommend it.

What are the times of the Disney’s Hollywood Studios shows?

Posted by admin on February 7th, 2010 and filed under studios | 4 Comments »

Im planning to go to Animal Kingdom and then Hollywood Studios in 1 day. We are going to Animal Kingdom first (8am to about 4pm) and then Hollywood Studios (4pm to 11:30pm)! I know Disney has plenty of shows but what time do they usually stop showing them? We are planing to see all the shows!

I work at Hollywood studios. If you could, could you say what day you are going? The park and shows times open and close at different times through the day. If you want to know specifically, just ask ANY cast member at a stand for a "Times Guide", and they will give it to you. It list every show in the park and what time they close. Next week, the park is open until 8:30 PM. You should go when there EMH(Extra Magic Hours), when the park is open later. But overall, on average, the shows will close around 5:30. Some earlier, some later. Most a little later. PLEASE drop me an email to tell me the date you plan on going. I can provide you with better information there :-)

Do they drug test at universal studios theme park?

Posted by admin on January 31st, 2010 and filed under studios theme park | 3 Comments »

i wanted to get a job there soon and i was just wondering if they drug test or not.
any tips on how to pass it ?

Put the pipe down for two or three weeks before the test, make sure you eat properly and exercise in the duration (THC likes getting stored in fat) and take some vitamin B the night before.

*Don’t* take the B a couple of hours before the test, because they’ll know you’re trying to mask it. You want your B levels to be high, not off the chart. If they then ask if you take vitamin supplements, just tell them the truth: Yes, you usually take one a few times a week, and you took one last night.

Do you have to purchase a ticket to Universal Studios to see Mardi Gras? (Florida)?

Posted by admin on January 31st, 2010 and filed under city walk studios | 2 Comments »

I just want to party at Mardi Gras in Orlando’s Universal Studios. Do they do this event inside the Universal studios park, (where I would have to buy an admission ticket), or is it done in City Walk?

Last time I was there, the major events were inside the park. So you would need a ticket.

Is it possible to do both universal studios park in one day?

Posted by admin on January 26th, 2010 and filed under studios | 4 Comments »

I’m italian and in 2 months i’ll get to Orlando. I have 2 days (monday and tuesday) to do some parks. I’d like to visit Universal studios park, island of adventure and Magic Kingdom. Is it possible to do both universal studios parks in one day considering that i’ll go there during the week?

I have done both parks in one day but in the off-season. It sounds like you will be there during spring break, which will make it difficult. You could probably do the highlights at both parks, skip the shows and the minor rides. If you got to Islands when it opened and went straight to Hulk, Spiderman, Dueling Dragons, Jurassic Park, and then went over to Universal. Then at Universal, go to the Mummy, the Simpsons, and whatever else interests you. Day of the week doesn’t matter as much as time of year – if the U.S. kids are on spring break, the parks will be packed. And spring break in the U.S. is different everywhere. It’s mid-March through mid-April usually.

Which Universal Studios Orlando theme Park is better?

Either the Universal studios or Island of adventure

that all depends on what you enjoy the most, they are both totally amazing parks –

there are links to the parks websites for more detailed info about both, I would enjoy a day at either one a great deal so it is impossible for me to pick one over the other

have a wonderful time :D

What rides are not suitable for overweight people at Universal Studios?

Posted by admin on January 24th, 2010 and filed under studios | 2 Comments »

My entire family and I are going to Universal studios and my father in law is worried about the rides. He is 5′8", about 360lbs, and carries most of it in his lower body. He has no problems at Disneyland. Thanks! (Also please be kind, he is a very nicer person so keep your mean comments to yourself)

You’ll probably be fine. Most rides only restrict people who are morbidly obese from riding and 360 pounds at 5′8 is not morbidly obese. When going on the rides just be sure to read the warning signs first and see if they mention a maximum weight capacity. I have seen people who weigh way more then 360 lbs go on many rides without problems. Usually it is waterslides where you only have to worry about it in that weight range is all.

best place to buy discount tickets to disney world and universal studios?

Posted by admin on January 24th, 2010 and filed under universal studios discount tickets | 5 Comments »

Trying to plan our family vacation and i’m wanting to know the best place to get discounted tickets to these places. Thanks

For Universal, if you buy a multi-day pass (two days or more) from their website you get $10.00 off gate price:
http://www.universalorlando.com/Tickets/tickets_2.aspx#

Disney World doesn’t offer any discounts on their tickets. The best thing to do is purchase them online from the Disney World website and save yourself the 30+ minutes of waiting to purchase tickets at the gate:

If you are a member of Triple A you can get a small discount on park tickets. As far as taking advantage of roadside "discount" ticket booths and/or hotel discounts, do be careful. Not all of the ticket outlets have a good deal, and all of the hotels I have checked out actually sell their tickets for MORE than gate price because they add in their own convenience fees. I personally always purchase all of my park tickets online before my trip.

What to do if visiting Los Angeles for the day? Universal Studios? The walk of fame? Or a trip to the beach?

Posted by admin on January 19th, 2010 and filed under los angeles studios | 3 Comments »

We will be there Dec 30th or Jan 1 or 2nd.

Yes, all of those.

There are literally hundreds of things to do here in LA. Here is my list of “must sees”. Visit as many as you have time for.:

Disneyland: The Happiest Place on Earth. Half a billion visitors can’t be wrong. #1 Destination.
Universal studios: A theme park that grew out of a studio tour. #2 Destination.
Even if you don’t visit Disneyland or Universal Studios Tour, Downtown Disney District and Universal City Walk are very fun places to visit for shopping and eating. And they’re free to visit.

Hollywood: Enjoy the Walk of Fame, Entertainment Museum, Chinese Theatre and more. You can see a lot for free. The Hollywood & Highland complex has lots of shops and restaurants, and the Kodak Theater. The El Capitan theater, right across the street, is where Disney shows their movies. And the Hollywood Bowl is a GREAT place to listen to concerts outdoors.

Olvera Street/Union Station: Olvera Street is the birthplace of LA, and it emphasizes our Mexican heritage. In addition to the Avila Adobe (oldest building in LA), you can eat at some pretty good Mexican Restaurants, do a little shopping, and taste a churro. If you don’t want to go to Tijuana, this is as close as it gets without going there. Union Station has great architecture from a bygone age. Also, you are 2 blocks from Phillippe’s (see below).

Rodeo Drive, 90210: Packed with exclusive shops, full of gawkers. They all came to enjoy the excess. Free, unless you intend to buy something.

Venice Beach: Los Angeles kitsch and over-the-top culture at its best. Here you’ll find Muscle Beach, street performers and tacky shops galore. Fun, VERY interesting, but I avoid it after dark, when it gets a little TOO interesting for my taste.

Santa Monica: Beach and Pier: Great beach scene and a classic seaside amusement park, complete with antique carousel that has been in a lot of TV and movies. After visiting the pier, you can ride a bike south a couple miles to Venice Beach.

Sunset Boulevard began as a route between the stars’ posh neighborhoods and the Hollywood studios. It runs from downtown to the ocean, passing through the "Sunset Strip" on its way.

Farmers Market and The Grove – A new shopping complex right next to a Los Angeles landmark, It is right next to CBS, so walk across the lot to see if they are taping "The Price is Right". You might even get in.

Griffith Park – Home of the Los Angeles Zoo, Griffith Park Observatory, Travel Town, the Greek Theatre, and Gene Autry Museum of Western Heritage.

Getty Museum – The Getty’s architecture is so beautiful that it keeps me fascinated. No matter whether you like their art, architecture, or view better, the Getty is sure to please. Free.

Attend a TV taping – You can get free tickets at audiencesunlimited.com, tvtix.com, or see the booth at Universal City walk. It’s very interesting to see a show being taped. The most popular, by far, is the Tonight show. Check the NBC web site for all the details there.

Places to eat:
In-N-Out Burger: Multiple locations, best burger in LA, ask anyone.
Pink’s Hot Dogs: 709 N. La Brea, just north of Melrose. You might even see a celebrity. Maybe.
Tommy’s Chili Burgers: Look for the shack, an LA tradition. The original location is at Beverly & Rampart, a couple miles west of downtown.
Canter’s Deli: 419 N. Fairfax, between Beverly & Melrose. Near CBS, you might spot a celebrity.
Phillippe’s: 1001 N. Alameda. Great roast beef sandwiches. Near Union Station and Olvera Street. Watch the mustard, it’s hot.
Tito’s Taco’s: Voted best tacos in LA, even though it’s in Culver City.
The Pantry: Corner of Figueroa and 9th, downtown. Huge portions, they never close, GREAT steak and eggs.

Places to Shop:
Third Street Promenade, Santa Monica
The Grove, Los Angeles
Americana @ Brand, Glendale
Beverly Center, Los Angeles
Citadel Outlets, Commerce
Brea Mall, Brea
The Block at Orange, Orange
South Coast Plaza, Costa Mesa
Fashion Island, Newport Beach
Santee Alley, Los Angeles
