is universal studios Hollywood city walk free?

is it free to get into? or do you need a universal studios hollywood pass/ticket?

It’s completely free to walk but full of shops and restaurants so you will be tempted to spend some money. It’s really fun though even if you’re not going inside the park. Give it a go and have fun!!

can you upgrade universal studio tickets at park to fast pass?

Posted by admin on March 27th, 2010 and filed under universal studios discount tickets | 2 Comments »

I want to buy discount tickets from Costco but can I upgrade them at the park entrance to include fast pass?

Yes, you can purchase an Express Pass at any time. In the summer, they are usually around $30-40 per person. You can actually buy the Express Pass at many of the internal souvenir shops as well, so if you want you can see how long the lines are and then decide. The only problem with this is that they do give out only a limited number of passes per day. So they may be sold out if you wait too long. If you are going on a weekend in the summer, it will most likely be busy, so I would suggest you buy them beforehand online. Good luck!

Studios in Korea Town in Downtown Los Angeles. Help?

Posted by admin on March 17th, 2010 and filed under los angeles studios | 1 Comment »

I’m looking for a good priced (between $500-$700) one bedrrom studio/apartment in Korea Town in the Downtown Los Angeles area. I’m not looking for something fancy. Actually just something decent, and next to FIDM. Any suggestions or websites that provide pics AND prices? Or does anyone own a place that their renting out or looking for a roomie? Any help will be greatly appreciated. :)

Hey!

Talk to the housing director at FIDM! They totally helped me look for affordable housing options! Another option is to talk to the FIDM Student Activities Office who makes available this student housing sheet with students advertising that they need roomies! I have looked at that a few times and found some great housing options too! FIDM also has a facebook account with students that might post that they are looking for a roomie…you could try that too! :)

Universal Studios Theme Parks?

Posted by admin on March 17th, 2010 and filed under studios theme park | 2 Comments »

There are two theme paks at Universal Studios. There’s Universal Studios Florida and Universals Islands of Adventure. Which theme park would you take a 2 and 4 year old? Whick one would they have more fun at?

A lot of the big rides with height restrictions are at Islands of Adventure. There won’t be much they can do. The Dr. Seuss area is very, very cute, but it also would not take up much of your day.

At Universal Studios there are several live shows that your kids could do. Especially there is one with real animals called Animal Actors on Location on also A Day In The Park With Barney show. Additionally, there is an area called Woody Woodpecker’s Kid Zone, where they could do everything. And there are a few other rides outside the Zone that they could ride, also. I think there would be more for them to do at Universal Studios.

Is there a downtown Universal Studios Hollywood in Los Angeles?

Posted by admin on March 10th, 2010 and filed under los angeles studios | 4 Comments »

Like Disneyland, there is Downtown Disney. So I’m wondering if there is something like that for Universal Studios? If so, does it cost anything or is it free like Disney?

Yeah, it’s City Walk. There’s all these stores and food places, a movie theatre, carts along the sidewalk and it’s pretty similar to Downtown Disney. It’s free to enter but you do have to pay for parking.

Opportunity of a lifetime?

So I go to this Modeling/Acting/Talent Management academy thingy. (It’s not a scam!)
And there’s this fieldtrip to Hollywood where we get to meet top agents and go to auditions and all these cool stuff ; But I feel like it’s nothing. Is this really an opportunity of a lifetime? Here’s the info I got from the site of the academy:

______ will personally host your trip and be your tour giude! Kevin Green of Rollover Hollywood (a casting service) will be your co-host.
"Send-Off Night"- Thursday March 25th, 2010 @ 7pm at ____ Academy
Hospitality Welcome @ 8:00pm Wednesday March 31st, 2010 at the Hotel in LA
Two Nights stay at the Hollywood Celebrity Hotel (Double Occupancy: King, 2 Queens, or Suites available for additional fee
Transportation to and from agencies and auditions
A panel of 5 agents and casting directors will personally interview and/or audition you, talk about your career goals, portfolio, resume, etc. This includes the castin agency of Michael Jackson’s "This Is It", and the TV hit series "Glee"!
Tour of Telemundo TV Broadcasting Studios!
Tour of an L.A. agency and personal career seminar by Carol Lynn Sher, Agent. Cunningham-Escott-Slevin-Deoherty (aka CESD) will be the agency visited. This is the agency for Miley Cyrus, Jonathan Lipinski, James Garner, Mae Whitmen… and zillions of clients such as Disney, Pacific Sunwear, California Cheese, Olympus, Mattel and Sony!
Tour of K.S.R. top L.A. agency and personal career presentations by agents Jody Alexander and Bonnie Ventis. Auditions conducted in agency’s voice-over booth and there will be personal coaching by the agent!
Optional tours of the Hollywood Museum, Beverly Hills, Universal Studios and its City Walk, NBC studios (or similar studio), and a visit to the set of a live TV show filming!
*************

So that’s all the info. Should I go? The trip is pretty pricey but nothing I can’t handle.

Definitely not. Why would you waste your money? They get kickbacks and you won’t get cast. They don’t pick you up that way. Pay to go meet folks, so ridiculous. Taking advantage of starry eyes.

Its just name dropping bull… Go visit a live set, go tour an agency. Such a fake scam..

Where can I physically go and get Universal Studios discount?

Posted by admin on March 6th, 2010 and filed under universal studios discount tickets | 4 Comments »

I was planning to go to universal studios this weekend and realized the tickets are like 70 dollars! So I was wondering if there were any stores or companies that offer coupons that will give me a discount to Universal Studios
————-example) those coupons for Knott’s Berry Farm that they give at Baskin Robins——————-
THANK YOU TAHNK YOU THANK YOU! <3

Premier theme parks such as Disney and Universal don’t do discounts like local parks, where you can just pick them up at the grocery store or something. The best discounts for Universal are on their website.
