I’m currently a trainee at a Arthur Murray studio in Viriginia and i was wondering if anyone could tell me what i can expect to be making…also if u could include how the salary grows after years…I know that the salary is based on commission but i just wanted to know a average. Thank You.
PLEASE DON’T RESPOND WITH I DONT KNOW OR LIE, ONLY ANSWER IF YOU WILL BE HELPFUL

Hey,

I am an independent dance instructor in Boston Area, MA
I have worked at a studio before, but never for an Arthur Murray…..But I do have some friends who used to teach for Arthur Murray studios so I am familiar with their system….. So I may be able to help.

Basically from what I know you get about $15-$25/lesson base depending on your experience + some 1.5%-2.5% commission of sales. These are rough estimates.

And so it will depend on how much you will teach, like some people teach 60 lessons a week… so they can make good money (I personally don’t have the energy for that many)…. but if you want to teach only 30-40, then you won’t make as much.

I know some teachers who have been there for a very long time and they make pretty good salaries.
