Do they give tours? I’d reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally love to see the sets… ![]()
Oh… on the wikipedia page it says they shoot a lot of tv series… :S
Sorry, no tours are given. I don’t believe they even shoot anything out there that requires a studio audience, so it’s a closed lot.
Prospect Studios, Los Angeles?
What’s a good decent area around Studio city in Los Angeles?
I’d like to know because I’m moving, also please include the prices a month if you know?
Glendale isn’t bad.

Old West Costume Portrait Studio near Los Angeles?
Looking for one of those tourist traps that dress you up in period costuming and takes sepia photographs. Any near Los Angeles?
There used to be one at Knotts Berry Farm in Buena Park
What is a cheap studio tour in Los Angeles?
I’m visiting my aunts in California this week and on Monday I wanna do some stupid touristy thing to do. I’ve already been to the whole Hollywood thing, the Chinese Theatre, etc. before.
If anyone has any suggestions on cheaper studio tours in the area, or even some good touristy thing to do, by all means, ten points!
Thank you.
Sony Studios has tours and lots of history, because it’s the same place where every MGM movie was filmed. Check out their website at http://www.sonypicturesstudiostours.com/ and click on the Tours link. There are also a few TV shows that are filmed at Sony before a live audience, so why not take in a show taping while you’re there?
Paramount Pictures also offer tours on an advanced reservation basis, and their site is http://www.paramountstudios.com/. Give it a look-see, and click on the link for Tours. Check out their show schedule as well for live studio audience tapings.
Disney doesn’t offer tours, and Universal is expensive, but Universal would be my first choice for a studio tour.
If you want to soak up some more LA landmarks, head over to Pink’s at the corner of La Brea and Melrose. This place is an LA institution, and has the best hot dog you will ever eat. For more food diversity, go to Farmer’s Market at 3rd and Fairfax, and check out all the different cuisines from all around the world. There’s a cajun place that’s got gumbo to die for.
Right next door to Farmer’s Market is CBS Television City, where The Price is Right is filmed every day, and lots of other shows. They don’t offer tours, but it’s fun to see a live show taping. Their website is http://www.cbs.com/, and there is a schedule of show tapings so you can get an idea for what’s done there. It’s a very well kept secret that some HUGELY popular reality talent competitions are taped there, but I can’t tell you which ones … however, I can tell you that 2 of them involve dancing, and one involves singing and recently wrapped up for the year.
I went to the Warner Brother’s Studio site but the main page never loaded, so I couldn’t find out whether they offer tours, but several live shows tape there. It’s definitely worth a look: http://www.warnerbros.com/ … I’m not sure if they offer tours, but a live taping is always a fun thing to do.
Just up the street from Warners is NBC, where more live shows are taped before a studio audience. Here’s their link: http://www.nbc.com/
Not knowing whether you have a car makes me hesitate to suggest other places, so I’ll leave you with these suggestions for now.
Have fun !!

I am looking for a good dance studio in west los angeles?
planning to take dance classes to losse the baby weight, any ideas on where and what would be good classes?
I know of this place in l.a. The studio is infront of the Cedars-Sinai hospital/Beverly Center. It is right on the corner of 3rd and Holt (close to 3rd and San Vicente). I don’t know the name of the studio, but I have seen dancers dancing there. Looks like lots of fun! Also, I’ve heard that "The Firm" workout videos work like a miracle! Hope you get the results you want!!!
