In The Crow, were the Church scenes in a real church, or was it a set?

I know that most of the movie (all of it?) was filmed in Wilmington, NC at the Screen Gems studio, and most with a set built on a lot at the studio, but was any of the city used as it looked back in ‘94? (I think we all know how many hurricanes have come through there).
