is there a way to install microsoft visual studios 2008 on a mac? im planning on getting a mac and i was wondering on how to install visual studios or any windows softwares on a mac?

Why use visual studio? If it is for visual basic then ok, but for any other languages use Xcode – it works much, much better and it comes free with every mac. Xcode is Apples application development suite. It supports many language but you can add more with plugins.

Could you give some ideas for a concert at Universal Studios?

My school is doing a concert at Universal Studios theme park. In one of the songs we are playing, Harry Potter, most people playing are at rest due to a flute solo that lasts for about 30 measures. We were thinking at the time while all the flutes are playing, the non players could do something funny, like shooting wands at each other and such. Any ideas are open, as long it is appropriate.

-Take out wands and conduct, but then everyone goes berserk casting spells. Haha
- You could have one person, dressed as Harry Potter, run across the stage doing crazy things.
-Two people dueling
-Quiditch match
-Broom race

What are the times of the Disney’s Hollywood Studios shows?

Im planning to go to Animal Kingdom and then Hollywood Studios in 1 day. We are going to Animal Kingdom first (8am to about 4pm) and then Hollywood Studios (4pm to 11:30pm)! I know Disney has plenty of shows but what time do they usually stop showing them? We are planing to see all the shows!

I work at Hollywood Studios. If you could, could you say what day you are going? The park and shows times open and close at different times through the day. If you want to know specifically, just ask ANY cast member at a stand for a "Times Guide", and they will give it to you. It list every show in the park and what time they close. Next week, the park is open until 8:30 PM. You should go when there EMH(Extra Magic Hours), when the park is open later. But overall, on average, the shows will close around 5:30. Some earlier, some later. Most a little later. PLEASE drop me an email to tell me the date you plan on going. I can provide you with better information there :-)

Is it possible to do both universal studios park in one day?

I’m italian and in 2 months i’ll get to Orlando. I have 2 days (monday and tuesday) to do some parks. I’d like to visit Universal studios park, island of adventure and Magic Kingdom. Is it possible to do both universal studios parks in one day considering that i’ll go there during the week?

I have done both parks in one day but in the off-season. It sounds like you will be there during spring break, which will make it difficult. You could probably do the highlights at both parks, skip the shows and the minor rides. If you got to Islands when it opened and went straight to Hulk, Spiderman, Dueling Dragons, Jurassic Park, and then went over to Universal. Then at Universal, go to the Mummy, the Simpsons, and whatever else interests you. Day of the week doesn’t matter as much as time of year – if the U.S. kids are on spring break, the parks will be packed. And spring break in the U.S. is different everywhere. It’s mid-March through mid-April usually.

What rides are not suitable for overweight people at Universal Studios?

My entire family and I are going to Universal Studios and my father in law is worried about the rides. He is 5′8", about 360lbs, and carries most of it in his lower body. He has no problems at Disneyland. Thanks! (Also please be kind, he is a very nicer person so keep your mean comments to yourself)

You’ll probably be fine. Most rides only restrict people who are morbidly obese from riding and 360 pounds at 5′8 is not morbidly obese. When going on the rides just be sure to read the warning signs first and see if they mention a maximum weight capacity. I have seen people who weigh way more then 360 lbs go on many rides without problems. Usually it is waterslides where you only have to worry about it in that weight range is all.

Can you do both universal studios Orlando parks in one day?

Posted by admin on December 30th, 2009 and filed under studios | 8 Comments »

We want to go to Universal studios in the summer with our Disney vacation, really to see the Harry Potter world (if it is open), but wondering if we can see both parks in one day? Keeping in mind we will have a 10 year old, 13 year old, and a few other adults with us. Thanks for your help.

It depends on a few factors: length of time the park is open, the crowds and the weather. If the Park is only open 7-9 hours, than no. If the crowds are holding up the line, No. If the weather storms and shuts down the outdoor rides, no.

However, if it is a long day – 10-12 hours, and you split up, you can do it. Also, invest in a fast pass. That will be a big help. Skip the shows and the kiddie rides. Put those last and you will be fine.

With the announcement of the Universal Studios ticket prices, is the price reasonable to draw people there?

Posted by admin on November 26th, 2009 and filed under studios | 50 Comments »

Visitors are one step closer to visiting Southeast Asia’s first and only Universal Studios theme park opening on Sentosa’s Resorts World, now that ticket prices have been revealed.

Sale of tickets shouldn’t be too far on the horizon with Resorts World Sentosa announcing on Wednesday its one-day, two-day and express pass ticket prices that range from S$32 to S$118 to access all attractions.

With the announcement of the Universal Studios ticket prices, is the price reasonable to draw people there?

I think the prize is quite high for a start. Not everyone can afford the proposal prize to draw more people there. My suggestion is If can consider a reasonable family package of four or five people’s ticket prize may be better. I think the Ticket’s prize between $50 & $25 for Adult and Child is good and reasonable than as compare to the current proposal prizes at $66 for Adult and $48 for child.
