The closest 'hollywood' theme park is in queensland, 'Movie World'. The last major theme park 'Wonderland' shut its doors a few years ago which had the big rollercoasters. Your best bet now is Luna Park. It is situated on the base of the northern end of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, but as a theme park it is targeted for young kids. Nothing terribly exciting in terms of finding scary rides. Another place to check out is Fox Studios at Moore Park.
