i am going there today and i was wondering which one we should spend more time at

I think Islands of Adventure is better, especially if you like thrill rides/coasters. Universal Studios has a couple of good rides and some good shows. But if you want to ride instead of watch, I recommend Islands. Be sure to ride Hulk, Dueling Dragons, Jurassic Park, and Spiderman.

   You can get a day pass and switch between both parks (islands of adventure and universal studios)

   both are a lot of fun. the mummy at universal is awesome – and so is the Simpson’s.

   and like the previous posting – the roller-coaster rides are great at islands of adventure. you’ll enjoy both.

   personally i think universal studios is WAY better than islands of adventure.
   its the original and has the best attractions in my opinion. plus they have the i love lucy museum and the restaurant mel’s diner and "celebs" walk down the street like marilyn monroe.

   Universal’s Islands of Adventure. It has the best ride in the world – the Amazing Spiderman in 3D. It also has 2 world class coasters – The Incredible Hulk and Dueling Dragons (actually 2 coasters, Fire and Ice). It also has the best log flume I have ever been on – Ripsaw Falls. There are plenty of other attractions after that. Universal Studios is more of a spectacle than anything else. The Mummy is OK, but for real coaster afficionados, it cannot stack up with either coaster at Islands.

   If you are into roller coasters (Incredible Hulk, Dueling Dragons), then you should definitely spend most of the day at Islands of Adventure. If you want some family fun (such as the Simpsons Ride, Men In Black) then go to Universal Studios. Hope you have fun!
